FINDING UWM STUDENT JOBS AND
WORKSTUDY POSITIONS

The following resources will help you to locate student jobs and workstudy positions. For questions about workstudy, see Frequently Asked Questions About Workstudy.

 PantherJobs

A majority of on-campus jobs and on-campus/off-campus workstudy positions are posted online on PantherJobs. PantherJobs is also the primary web based resource that connects UWM students and alumni with local and national employers for internships and part-time and full-time jobs.

You may access PantherJobs as a Basic or Interactive User. To determine which option best fits your needs, see the PantherJobs webpage.

To access PantherJobs as a Basic User:

  • If you are a student or new graduate (within 12 months of graduation):
    • Input your UWM ePantherID as your username. Your UWM ePantherID is the letters in your UWM email address before @uwm.edu plus underscore uwm (e.g. If your UWM email address is jsmith@uwm.edu then your username would be jsmith_uwm). Note: Your username is not case sensitive.
    • Input your birth date as your password (yyyy-mm-dd). (e.g. Password: 1987-07-22).
  • If you are an alumnus/a (12 months after graduation):
    • Contact Cindy Petrites, Alumni Career Counselor, at petrites@uwm.edu to obtain a username and password.

 UWM DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC POSTINGS

Some UWM departments post positions and application forms on their websites. These include:

 UNADVERTISED POSITIONS

Not all on-campus and workstudy positions are posted on PantherJobs or on UWM department websites. Based on your interests, identify departments, offices, and professors you may want to work for and contact them directly to inquire about job opportunities.
