Computer Labs
The Department is committed to providing the latest computer
technology to its students. IBM-compatible, Macintosh and UNIX
computers are networked throughout the Department and connected to the
University's mainframe computers and Internet lines. These computers are
used in genetics, ecology, evolution, conservation biology,
physiology, and microbiology courses. Students are encouraged in the
application of computer technology for data collection via compatible
radiometers, electronic balances, sound and image analysis equipment,
aquatic instrumentation and remote sensing.
