This
cartoon, titled The Ascension, represents the window at
St. Anthony's Church in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. It is
a full-scale drawing created when the proposed design of
the window was approved. From this cartoon, several
copies were made and used in the window making process.
The large, thick lines used in the design allow for the
lead glazing to outline each segment of glass. The
Ascension depicts Christ rising to Heaven, surrounded by
eleven astounded disciples. The twelfth disciple, Judas,
is missing.
