SOIS Research Profile

Our Research Philosophy

We at SOIS understand that at the heart of our research lies curiosity, tenacity, commitment and creativity – all traits of our faculty members. By doing research we contribute to the international body of knowledge that can make a difference in the lives of people.

We therefore firmly believe that our research:

  • helps to provide solutions to problems
  • creates opportunities for people and
  • brings hope for the future

It is within this framework that we proudly present our research profile!

Our research profile covers all research output from 2002 thru March 2006. SOIS faculty are engaged in 18 categories of interdisciplinary research activities. Please explore these areas (see menu bar to the left) to learn more about the research activities of our faculty.
