Caesars Head is part of the Bald Mountain
Pluton. The age of the pluton is 435 Ma years old (Miller, 2002). Meaning
it formed between the Ordovician and Silurian. The location of park is
in South Carolina and has an elevation of 1979 ft (Hardley, 1970). Lithology of the
area is quartz monzonite, with cross-cutting felsic viens, layers and jointing
(Horton, 1991).
Caesars Head formed when the Piedmont docked onto Laurentia.

(Horton, 1991).
