Welcome to Ozlem Eren's Web Page!

Hello everyone. My name is Ozlem Eren. I am currently a fourth-year PhD student in the Department of Economics at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. I started UWM in Fall 2001, got my M.A. in Economics in December 2002, and now I am continuing to work toward my PhD. I am a Teaching Assistant (TA) here. I have taught Introductory Micro and Macroeconomics (ECON 103 and 104), Statistics (ECON 210), Development Economics (ECON 353), and Statistics for Economists (ECON 413). Currently I am teaching  ECON 210.

I am an international student from Turkey.  I completed my BS degree in Economics at the Middle East Technical University (METU or ODTU) in Ankara, in June 2000. I am a big fan of learning about different cultures and languages. I studied and still trying to improve German, Albanian and Russian languages. My greatest help comes from my dear friends from those countries. The best way to learn a language is to talk to native people! I like traveling, and collecting postcards and souvenirs from different countries.

Besides that I love jogging and swimming. I do these two sports regularly. I am very interested in literature, art and art history, too. You'll find many interesting links and information about these areas in the "Personal" section of my page.
