Clinical Services The Depression Treatment Specialty Clinic offers comprehensive psychological evaluations to determine the presence of depression and other psychological or behavioral problems followed by scientifically-based, non-pharmacological treatment for depression. Because the experience of depression is different for each person who struggles with it, the specific treatment for depression received depends on the nature of the client's problems but may include behavioral activation, grieving losses, increasing emotional expression, developing mindfulness, developing relationship skills, or changing the environmental factors that trigger and maintain depression. If you are interested in being evaluated or seen at the Depression Treatment Specialty Clinic, please contact Dr. Kanter at (414) 229-3834 or jkanter@uwm.edu or Laura Rusch at (414) 229-5078 or lrusch@uwm.edu.
