PARTISAN // NEWS

            06/17/07 "S James" - Ll

We've been putting Scott Emmerich through the paces, and thus: drums.

01/23/07 "Long Way Back Home" - Ll

Tardiness excused for reasons of deathmas, touring, and general malaise.
Partisan will start recording their EP follow up to "Sack of Fear" in the
                very near future.

10/24/06 "A Little Tenderness In Your Correspondence" - Ll

Well, lot's of webpages are now available to you.  News From Home is
now alive with video and linkage and show dates, etc.  Also the label
                has a Myspace page.

10/22/06 "A little update before the big wave" - Ll

The month of shows comes to an end today.  We have neared completion
of our set of songs for the Sanitary Records Cassingle, and we are
very pleased.  We used the 4 track again, and despite some inevitable
muddying on the stomping song "Line Of Flight", we are pleased what the
trusty ol bastard could do.  We're getting a new machine for the next
recording.  Frank is making the packaging for the tapes, and its going to
look as solid and stylish as our regular aesthetic.  Check out that new song
                on our Myspace page.

We'd also like to announce a compilation in the works on News From Home,
it will be curated by Partisan and Real Live Tigers.  You can expect a
new song from us there as well.

10/01/06 "October and Its Heirs" - Ll

This month will be jam packed with shows as we pefect some new songs,
play music with some of our favorite people/musicians.

We will be releasing a Cassingle on the Sanitary Records Cassingle
Series.  We are going to try and fit three songs on it, a couple in
preview for our second record, which will follow the EP length piece
we are working on.  We don't know the exact release for either of those
, however the Cassingle will be first, the EP will be second and our
next record will be third, sometime later next year.

So to review:  Cassingle, EP, New Year New Record.  Be around.

Frank is in Sonic Typewriter.  Katie is in Clinicals.

            9/14/06 "We Don't Know Ourselves" - Ll

So there is already a record label called dovecote (without the accent
circumflex), so instead of wiggling out with the accent, we decided to
rename the label "News From Home", at least until further notice.

Frank and Charlie played a few shows without Katie, and it was unanim-
ously decided that we are better with her than without her, but apart
from that deficeincy - we roundly brought the noise.

You can buy the "Sack of Fear" cd by emailing [ratatat]thegolddog
                [at]gmail.com[tatat].

8/26/06 "Hard Living in a Hard Land" - Ll

We had one excellent show this month at Midwest Nest Fest, which we
hope becomes the tradition it deserves to be.  Made some new friends,
sold some copies of the official "Sack of Fear" cd.  Erin sewed the
sides shut, we all cut and pasted the pictures, there's a lyric booklet.
I plan on scanning that record and putting the art up, but currently I
don't own a copy, and Frank and Katie have ventured forth into the
riverbeds of the great green north with canoe paddles in hand, with
                Jake, guru and stoic.

Some upcoming shows will feaeture various memberships of Partisan.
Each of these performances and recordings will be under the official
auspices of Partisan Family Players, but might operate under aliases.

Charlie will be touring as Buster in the midwest and south from January
5th through the 20th.  This tour is with dovecôte label mate and best
music friend Real Live Tigers, with possible special guests.  He will
be supporting "Sack of Fear" and a tour only ep "Invaded" featuring
                upcoming Partisan songs.
