Contributors to DOMES

The Digest of Middle East Studies (DOMES) now in its 14 volume/year welcomes the submission of papers of up to 8000 words on any branch of Middle East and North African (MENA) Studies and Islam. Papers can be submitted electronically to the Editor aman@sois.uwm.edu; or on a disc or CD along with a printed copy and snail-mailed to:

An abstract of the article is required. Notes and references should be on separate pages at the end of the article. It is the responsibility of the author to obtain permission for using any previously published material. Submissions are considered for publication on the understanding that the author offers DOMES an exclusive option to publish and that the paper is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Every paper submitted to DOMES is reviewed by at least two referees, including an internationally recognized authority in the field. DOMES publishes lengthy reviews of current books on MENA. Interested reviewers can ask to be placed on placed on the list of reviewers to whom lists of books received by DOMES are e-mailed on regular basis. Reviewers can keep the book(s) and e-mail their analytical reviews (3-4 pages in length) to aman@sois.uwm.edu.
Scholars who are interested to serve on DOMES International Advisory Board or as referees are invited to contact the Editor.
